The account card: form, custom fields, and views¶
Edit account data through your workspace's configured form, work with custom field values, and read the card's built-in list views.
Three sections of the account card are shaped by your workspace configuration: the Form section renders the layout built in the Form Builder, the Custom Fields section surfaces your workspace's extra fields, and the Views section offers three built-in list views of the account's records.
Prerequisites
- You can open the account's card.
- For the Form section to appear, your workspace has at least one active account form; otherwise the section and its jump-bar pill are hidden.
The Form section¶
The Form section lays the account's fields out exactly as designed in the Form Builder: one card per section, each with its titled group of label-and-value rows.
- Switch forms — when more than one form layout applies to you, a Switch form dropdown at the top right flips between layouts.
- Edit a value inline — click the pencil next to a field. The row becomes an input matched to the field's type — text, number, date picker, yes/no, or a picklist — with Save and Cancel buttons. A confirmation appears on save.
- Read-only fields — a field placed as locked on the form shows a lock icon and cannot be edited here. Values masked by your firm's field-level security rules display as dots and cannot be edited inline.
The Custom Fields section¶
The Custom Fields section lists every custom field defined for accounts in your workspace, with a count badge in the jump bar. Each value is shown and edited with a control matching its type — text, toggle or checkbox, number, date or date and time, or a picklist. Masked values display masked, with an unmask option where your role permits it.
If your workspace has no custom fields defined yet, the section shows an empty state — see Manage custom fields to define some.
Note
The lead status picklist does not appear here even though it is configurable — status is changed through the dedicated status control on the accounts list and card header.
The Views section¶
The Views section presents three built-in tabs of the account's records:
- Monitor transactions — the account's monetary transactions: type, amount, currency, trading account, approval state, and creation time. Managing transactions is covered in the monetary chapter.
- Trading accounts — the account's trading accounts: number, type, currency, balance, and state. Managing trading accounts is covered in the trading operations chapter.
- Activities — a consolidated communications list across channels, each row with a channel badge (Email, Call, or SMS), subject, status, and time.
Everything shown here is permission-scoped: you only see data for accounts already within your reach.
