Monitor trading accounts¶
Watch every trading account in your workspace live — balance, equity, margin, and P&L — and act on any account without leaving the grid.
Prerequisites
- You are signed in to the Backoffice and have selected a workspace — the page shows the accounts of the workspace you are viewing.
- Creating trading accounts, opening trades, and posting balance actions each require the matching permission in your permission group; controls you cannot use are hidden.
The trading accounts grid¶
Open Trading Accounts in the sidebar. Every trading account in the workspace appears as one row in a live grid. While the data streams in, a progress bar shows how many accounts have loaded; the grid appears once the first live sync completes.
Columns include:
- Account ID and the trading account's own ID, shown in the grid as TP Account ID — links that open the client's account card and the trading account detail page.
- Trading Term — the term set the account trades under; editable inline (see Trading terms).
- Account type — hidden by default; add it from the column panel. The account type the client picked when opening the account from the Client Zone; blank for accounts opened any other way.
- Client Name, plus optional contact and profile columns you can add from the grid's column panel. Fields protected by field-level security appear masked.
- Money columns — Balance, Credit, Equity, Floating P&L, Total Profit, Free Margin — and Margin Requirements and Margin Level (shown as a percentage). Equity, P&L, and margin figures tick live as the market moves. Total Profit is the floating P&L plus swap and commission.
- Currency — the account's deposit currency.
- Trading Permissions — a colored badge showing whether the account is full-trade (green), close-only (amber), or non-tradable (red); editable inline.
- State — the account's state: Normal, Read only, or Quarantine.
- Margin Status — whether the account is OK, in margin call, or stopped out.
- Last Activity — the account's most recent activity time.
A pinned Total row at the bottom sums the money columns. Use the search box above the grid to filter, and the column headers to sort and filter.
Display currency¶
Use the Display Currency selector to convert all money columns and the totals row into one currency. Values convert at the raw mid rate; a cell is left blank when no direct pair exists for the conversion. Choose All Currencies to show each account in its own currency.
The utility panel¶
A collapsible panel on the right shows live Market Rates — a searchable instrument list with bid prices and expandable candlestick charts — and a Margin Call section listing accounts approaching or in margin call, with their margin level and distance to stop-out.
Create a trading account¶
The Create TP Account button appears when your firm's offering provisions traders directly with a trading account, and when your role allows creating them.
- Click Create TP Account.
- Pick a Brand and a Trading Terms tier.
- Set the Currency (defaults to USD) and, optionally, a Leverage (entered as the "1:n" ratio) plus a Name and Email.
- Enter a Password — the trader signs in with this password.
- Click Create. A confirmation shows the new account's number and password.
Note
If the firm has no brand or no trading term yet, the dialog tells you to create those first — see Trading terms.
Open a trade on behalf of a client¶
- Open the row's ⋯ menu and choose New Order.
- Pick an Instrument and a Side (Buy or Sell).
- Enter the Size. The Desired price field prefills with the current market price for the chosen instrument and side; you can type a different price.
- (Optional) Set a Stop loss, Take profit, and Comment.
- Click Submit. A confirmation appears when the trade is accepted; if the platform rejects it, the rejection reason is shown. The new position appears live in the grids without a refresh.
If your role includes the trade-override permission, an Operator overrides section offers privileged controls: place the trade while the trading session is closed, skip any configured execution delay, act on an account that is Close-only or Read-only, or Set final price to fill at an exact price with immediate execution.
Warning
Operator overrides bypass normal trading safeguards. Use them only for deliberate manual intervention, and record why in the Comment field — the trade is attributed to you in the audit history.
Post a balance action¶
Balance actions adjust a trading account's balance or credit directly. They are recorded as auditable balance actions; no monetary transaction is created (client deposits and withdrawals are covered in the monetary operations chapter).
- Open the row's ⋯ menu and choose Deposit / Withdrawal (or Credit In/Out to preset the credit pool).
- Choose the Pool — Balance or Credit.
- Choose the Type — Deposit credits the pool, Withdrawal debits it. The Amount is always entered as a positive number in the account's currency.
- Choose a Subtype (Manual or Adjustment) and, for credit, an optional Expiry date. Add a Comment if useful.
- Click Create. The account's balance or credit updates live in the grid.
Bulk-edit accounts¶
Two settings can be edited inline and applied across many accounts at once: Trading Term and Trading Permissions.
- Edit the cells you want to change — click a Trading Term or Trading Permissions cell and pick the new value. You can also right-click a selected range to apply one value across it. Edited rows stay pending until you save; Cancel discards them.
- Click Save. A dialog confirms how many accounts you are about to update.
- Click Continue. Accounts are updated one at a time with a live progress list — each row shows a check when it succeeds or the failure reason if it does not. The dialog stays open until the run finishes.
- Review the summary of how many succeeded and failed, then click Close. Failed accounts keep their pending edits so you can retry.
