Trading terms

Create and edit the term tiers — leverage, margin levels, swap behavior, and per-instrument policies — that every trading account in the workspace is bound to.

Prerequisites

The tiers list

Open Trading terms in the sidebar. The page lists the workspace's term tiers — typically named along the lines of Standard, VIP, or Islamic — with each tier's ID (linking to its editor), Name, Leverage, and Status.

Every trading account is bound to one tier; the tier sets the account's default leverage, margin call and stop-out levels, swap behavior, and instrument policies. Change an account's tier from the trading accounts monitor or its detail page. To let traders open an account on a tier themselves, offer it as a named account type in the brand's Client Zone — see Set up Client Zone account creation.

Create or edit a tier

  1. Click Add tier (or open an existing tier from its ID).
  2. In the Settings section, fill in:
    • Name and StatusActive, Inactive, or Marked for deletion.
    • Trading system — required; the swap clock a forex account on this tier inherits.
    • Leverage — the tier's default account leverage.
    • Margin call level (%) and Stop out level (%) — the margin level thresholds at which accounts on this tier reach margin call and stop-out.
    • Free days (no swap) — days before swap starts accruing.
    • Execution delay (ms) — a delay applied before every trade on this tier executes; 0 is immediate, and the maximum is 10 seconds.
    • The Force stop-loss, Guarantee stop-loss, and Islamic (swap-free) flags.
  3. Click Create (or Save).

On an existing tier, a Duplicate button clones the tier and all of its instrument policies under a new name — useful for building a variant tier without repeating the setup.

Warning

Margin call and stop-out levels take effect for every account on the tier. Verify them before activating a tier — a stop-out level closes client positions automatically once equity falls to it.

Per-instrument policies

Below the settings, an existing tier shows an Instrument policies grid — per-instrument overrides that apply only to accounts on this tier. It works exactly like the instrument overrides grid, with the same Added/Available badges and grayed inherited values; here a policy inherits from the workspace's instrument override first, then the base instrument.

You can override contract size, tradability, execution mode, hedge percentage, leverage, price shift and spread, and the amount, commission, and swap policies. A Removed flag soft-disables an instrument within this tier without deleting the policy. The header Save button persists the tier settings and pending policy edits together.

Clicking a policy's ID opens a full-page policy editor with the same fields and per-field inherit checkboxes; the target instrument is locked after creation.
