Provider health

Check whether market data is arriving, and how much of your catalog is currently quotable.

Predictions prices and resolves against an external market-data provider. When that data stops arriving, your markets stop being quotable — this screen is where you see that before your desk hears it from a customer. It is also where you hold and release new selling for your firm.

Prerequisites

  • Your permission group grants the Predictions View capability to read the screen, and the Operations capability to hold or release new selling.
  • Your firm has Predictions enabled. If it does not, the screen still opens and tells you so in the page itself rather than failing to load.

Open the screen

In the left sidebar, open Predictions and choose Provider health.

What the page shows

The whole page comes from a single reading.

The feed — whether data is currently arriving from the provider, and how recently. If no data has arrived at all, the section says exactly that rather than showing a stale figure as though it were current.

Your catalog — how many markets you have Published, how many are Suspended, and how many are quotable right now, counted for your firm only. The published and suspended counts are always shown, whether or not the feed is reporting, because they describe your own catalog rather than the provider's state. How many are quotable cannot be known without a feed signal, so that figure is left blank rather than guessed.

Progress markers — how far the platform has read through the provider's data, so a support conversation can tell "we have not caught up yet" apart from "the data is not coming".

If anything is blocking new selling for your firm, the banner above the page names it — every standing block, not just one. See Holds and blocked selling.

The two halves are independent

A quiet feed does not blank your catalog counts, and a healthy feed does not imply your catalog is quotable. Read both.

When something is wrong

A stalled feed does not silently sell stale prices: markets whose data has gone stale stop being quotable, and your traders are told a price is unavailable rather than being given an old one. If the feed is quiet and stays quiet, raise it with your account manager.

Hold new selling from this screen

Hold new buys at the top of the page stops your firm selling new contracts until someone releases it; once a hold is in force the same button reads Release hold. Quotes keep streaming, settlement keeps paying out, and traders can still withdraw from their wallets — only opening a new position is refused.

The result of each action is shown on the page straight away, including the case worth knowing about: your hold can be released while the firm stays blocked by something else.

Full instructions, and what to do about a block you did not place, are in Holds and blocked selling.
