Reconciliation exceptions

Read the anomalies the platform raised against your Predictions book, and acknowledge one so a block it is asserting can be lifted.

The platform continuously checks your Predictions money against itself. When a check disagrees — a wallet, a position, or a settlement that does not add up — it records an exception. Some exceptions also block new selling on the scope they were found in, which is why this screen and Holds and blocked selling are read together.

Prerequisites

  • Your permission group grants the Predictions Audit capability to open the screen, and the Operations capability to acknowledge. An auditor can read every row and simply has no Acknowledge button.
  • Predictions actions are refused while you are acting as another user.

Open the screen

In the left sidebar, open Predictions and choose Exceptions.

The list opens on Open exceptions — the ones nobody has looked at yet — with a badge counting every open exception in your firm, whatever filter you are looking through. Switch State to Acknowledged, Resolved, or Every state to see the rest. Rows are newest first; when there are older ones than fit, a note says so.

What each row tells you

Column What it means
State Open, Acknowledged, or Resolved.
Severity Warning or Critical.
Code A short code naming the check that disagreed.
Scope Where the finding sits — your firm, a market source, a category, an event, or one market — together with the exact thing it names.
Market The market it concerns, or a dash for a firm-wide finding.
Raised When the check recorded it, in your own time zone.
Note What was found. It is blank when the evidence names an account outside the accounts you are allowed to see.

Acknowledge an exception

Acknowledging says "a person has read this". It does not correct anything, and it does not close the underlying question.

  1. Find the Open row and click Acknowledge.
  2. Read the confirmation. If the exception is still asserting a block on new selling, the confirmation says so — that block becomes clearable once you acknowledge, so read the evidence before you do.
  3. Confirm.

The row moves to Acknowledged and leaves the default Open view.

Acknowledging is not fixing

The finding stands until whatever caused it is put right. Acknowledge an exception because you have understood it, never to make a banner go away.

After acknowledging

If the exception was the only open one asserting an automatic block on its scope, that block can now be cleared; another open finding on the same scope still holds it. Clearing an automatic block is not a Backoffice action in this release — ask your platform provider once the exception is acknowledged. See Holds and blocked selling.
