Leverage groups

Define named, reusable leverage rules and manage how each workspace inherits or overrides them.

Prerequisites

  • Your role grants access to the leverage groups pages. The workspace-scoped page follows the workspace you have selected.

A leverage group holds a name, an optional description, and one leverage rule. Instrument leverage settings — on the instrument catalog, instrument overrides, and trading-term policies — reference these groups, so changing a group updates every instrument that uses it.

The leverage rule

Every group carries exactly one rule, chosen by Type:

  • Fixed leverage — a fixed "1:n" ratio.
  • Relative multiplier — multiplies the account's own leverage.
  • Margin per lot — a flat margin amount required per lot.

System-level leverage groups

Open Leverage Groups in the sidebar. The page lists the operator-level groups every firm inherits, each row showing the group's name and a one-line summary of its rule, with Edit and Delete buttons.

To create one, click Add group, enter a Name, pick the rule Type and value, optionally add a Description, and click Create.

Warning

Deleting a group takes effect immediately, without a confirmation prompt.

Workspace leverage groups

Open Workspace Leverage Groups to manage groups from the selected workspace's point of view. The page shows two lists:

  • Own — groups created in this workspace, with Edit and Delete. Click Add group to create one; these are available to this workspace's instrument settings alongside the inherited ones.
  • Inherited — the system-level groups, each badged Operator. Click Override to customize an inherited group for this workspace: the dialog opens seeded with the inherited values, the name is locked, and you adjust the rule and description. An overridden group gains an Overridden badge and offers Edit override and Revert — revert removes the customization and returns to the inherited default.
