Set trading defaults and lead routing¶
Decide how a new trading account is set up when a customer signs up under a brand, and who owns the leads that brand brings in.
These controls live in the Trading account defaults and Lead routing cards near the bottom of the brand editor. Your changes apply when you click Save in the header.
Prerequisites
- You are signed in to the Backoffice with a role that grants permission to manage brands.
- You have opened a brand from the brands list.
Trading account defaults¶
The Trading account defaults card sets the starting configuration for a trading account that is provisioned automatically when a customer signs up under this brand.
- Default trading term — the trading term (tier) the new account is opened on. Choose None to leave it unset.
- Demo balance — the starting balance placed on an auto-provisioned demo account.
- Default leverage — the nominal leverage the account opens with, entered as the N in 1:N (for example enter 100 for 1:100). Leave it empty to leave leverage unset.
Lead routing¶
The Lead routing card sets the default owner for new leads that sign up under this brand.
- Under Default lead owner, pick a user or business unit in the firm to receive the brand's new signups.
- To route the brand's leads into a shared pool, choose a business unit — its members can then claim leads from the pool.
Click Save in the header to apply your changes.
Note
The brand default owner set here is one input into how a new lead's owner is decided across the firm. For the full precedence — an explicit assignment, then a default, then the fallback pool — see Configure lead assignment.
