Set up payment providers and deposit methods¶
Choose which payment providers each brand offers, enter that brand's credentials for them, and decide what its traders see on their deposit screen.
Two screens work together, and they stack:
- Brand payment providers — the providers a given brand offers, and the credentials that brand uses with each of them.
- Deposit methods — the list of payment options a trader actually sees, in the order you choose, with the provider behind each one.
Credentials belong to the brand, not to the firm. Each brand of your firm has its own set, so a brand that trades under its own account with a provider simply holds its own values.
Prerequisites
- You are signed in to the Backoffice with a role that grants permission to manage brand payments, and you have selected your firm's workspace. Payments belong to a firm, so these screens are unavailable from a non-firm workspace.
- You have an account with each payment provider you intend to offer, and the credentials it issued you.
Check every brand before you rely on this
Payment credentials are held per brand. A brand that has not been configured on this screen has no providers switched on and no credentials stored, so its traders cannot deposit. Work through every brand here — and confirm each provider you depend on reads Available — before you tell traders that deposits are open.
Choose the providers a brand offers¶
In the sidebar, open Payments and then Brand payment providers, then pick the brand you are configuring from the Brand selector.
The rail on the left lists every provider the platform offers. Each entry shows the provider's name, how many of its fields carry a value, and an at-a-glance status:
- Available — the provider has every credential it requires and is switched on for this brand.
- Needs credentials — a required field is still empty. Fill it in before the provider can take deposits.
- Not offered — the provider is configured but switched off for this brand.
Select a provider to open its panel. Available for this brand is the gate: turn it off and traders on that brand never see the provider.
Sometimes the switch cannot be flipped, and the panel says why:
- Your provider has not made that payment provider available to your firm.
- Your provider decides which payment providers this brand offers. Fields managed this way are marked Set by your provider and are read-only.
Fill in the brand's credentials¶
Each provider asks for the fields it issues, so the forms differ. Fields are labeled as you go:
- Required — the provider cannot take deposits until this field has a value.
- Secret — the value stays masked. Use the reveal control beside the field to check what you entered.
Some fields are not free text:
- A switch for an on/off setting. Every provider has two of these: sandbox, which points this brand's deposits at the provider's test environment, and auto-approve deposits. Leave auto-approve on and a confirmed deposit is credited straight away; turn it off and every deposit waits for an operator to approve it before the money reaches the trader's balance.
- A dropdown where the provider accepts only a fixed set of values. Leave it on Provider default and the provider applies its own default, which the field's description names.
Where a provider has no test environment, the panel tells you the sandbox switch has no effect and suggests using a test merchant account instead.
Save your changes¶
Click Save changes. One save writes every change you made across the whole rail, not just the provider on screen, so you can configure several providers in one pass.
If you switched a provider on but left one of its required fields empty, saving is blocked and the screen names the providers to fix. That is deliberate: the provider would reject every deposit sent to it.
Note
Switch on one provider at a time and put a small deposit through it before you offer it to traders. Available means this brand holds every credential the provider requires — it does not confirm the provider has accepted those credentials.
Build the trader's deposit list¶
Open Payments and then Deposit methods, and pick a brand. This page is the list of payment options on that brand's deposit screen, in the order shown, with the provider behind each one.
Select a method to configure it:
- Payment provider — the provider that processes this method. Only providers switched on for this brand can be chosen; manage that on Brand payment providers. Choose None for a method that is manual or display-only.
- Payment page opens — for methods that show a provider's payment page, whether it loads inside the app or in a new tab.
- Label — the wording shown on the trader's deposit tile.
- Processing-time badge and Commission badge — the two short badges displayed on the tile, such as an expected processing time or a fee note.
- Offered to traders — a switch, not a delete. Turn a method off and it disappears from the trader's screen with its configuration intact, ready to bring back later.
Add, remove, and restore methods¶
Add method asks for the method type first — a provider payment page, crypto address details, or bank transfer details — because the type decides what the trader sees. You then give the method a key, which identifies it internally.
Remove this method drops a method and its configuration from the brand when you save. Restore defaults replaces the whole list with the platform's standard set; nothing is written until you save, so reloading the page undoes it.
Reorder the list¶
Traders see the methods in the order shown on the left. Drag a method to a new position, or nudge it with the arrows.
Target by country and currency¶
Each method can be limited to particular countries and currencies:
- Include only — leave it empty and the method is offered to everyone. Add entries and only they are offered the method.
- Exclude — add entries here and the method disappears for those traders.
Exclusions always win over inclusions, and codes are matched case-insensitively.
Set deposit and withdrawal limits¶
The Deposits & withdrawals panel at the foot of the page covers the money window and the routes out:
- Minimum deposit, Maximum deposit and Pre-filled amount — the deposit range you accept and the amount the trader's form starts on. The pre-filled amount has to sit inside the range.
- External deposit URL — only for brands with no Client Zone. Traders are sent to that address instead of the in-app deposit flow. Leave it empty to use the methods above.
- Withdrawal routes — the ways traders may withdraw, from the routes your provider has made available to your firm.
- External withdrawal URL — the equivalent redirect for withdrawals.
Click Save changes and the list is live for that brand.
Warning
Changing a method's provider, or turning a method off, changes what your traders can do immediately. Check the brand's deposit screen after saving.
