Build the account form¶
Design the layout of fields — sections, ordering, and locked fields — that operators see when they open an account card in your workspace.
The Form Builder lets an administrator compose one or more account forms from the workspace's built-in and custom fields, then target each form at specific permission groups or users. The form you mark as the default is what the account card renders in its Form section.
Prerequisites
- You are signed in to the Backoffice as an administrator whose role includes the form-builder permission — the Form Builder entry only appears in the sidebar when it does.
- You have selected the workspace whose account form you want to design. If no workspace is selected, the page prompts you to pick one first.
The builder at a glance¶
Open Form Builder from the left sidebar. The page has three areas:
- Form selector (top strip) — every existing account form for this workspace, shown as clickable buttons. The currently open form is highlighted, and the workspace's default form carries a Default badge. To the right are New form and, when a form is selected, Delete.
- Available fields (left column) — the palette of fields you can place. Each entry shows the field's display name, a drag handle, and a badge marking it Core (a built-in account field) or Custom (a workspace-defined custom field). Fields already placed on the form are dimmed — a field can appear only once per form.
- Composer (right column) — where you assemble the form.
Create or edit a form¶
- Click New form to start a blank draft, or click an existing form in the selector strip to load it.
- At the top of the composer, enter the form name and an optional description.
- To make this the form the account card renders by default, check Make default.
- Click Add section to add a grouping header. Rename a section by typing in its title field, reorder sections with the up and down chevrons, and remove one with its trash button.
- Drag a field from the Available fields palette and drop it onto a section. An empty section shows a dashed drop placeholder.
- Arrange the fields inside each section with the move up / move down controls, or remove one with its × button.
- (Optional) Use a field's lock toggle to make it read-only on the account card. A locked field shows a Locked badge; the lock applies only within this form, so the same field can stay editable on a different form.
- Under Assignments, check the permission groups and users this form applies to.
- Click Save. The button stays disabled until the form has a name and at least one section. A confirmation appears, and the saved form stays open for further edits.
Note
There is no separate publish step — saving the form makes it live. The composer itself is the layout operators will see: sections in order, each with its ordered field rows.
Delete a form¶
- Select the form in the selector strip.
- Click Delete. The form is removed and the editor clears.
