Instrument packs

Bundle instruments into reusable packs and assign them to a workspace so its accounts have a tradeable catalog.

Prerequisites

  • The instruments you want to bundle exist in the instrument catalog.
  • Assigning a pack requires the target workspace to be selected in the workspace switcher.

The packs list

Open Instrument packs in the sidebar. Packs are global, reusable bundles of instruments; the list shows each pack's ID (linking to its detail page), Name, Instruments count, Status (Active or Archived), and Description.

Build a pack

  1. Click Add pack.
  2. Enter a Name (for example, Forex Majors) and a Description.
  3. Leave the Status as Active — an archived pack is kept but not offered for new use.
  4. Under Instruments, search and tick the instruments to include; the label shows a live count of your selection.
  5. Click Create.

To edit a pack later, open it from its ID: the detail page lets you change the name, status, and description, and add or remove instruments with the same searchable checklist. Click Save to apply. The page also shows the pack's audit history.

Assign a pack to a workspace

A workspace's accounts can only trade instruments that reach the workspace through an assigned pack. Switch to the target workspace, then open Assigned packs.

The page lists the packs already assigned to this workspace, with when each was assigned. Manage packs jumps back to the global packs list.

  1. Click Assign pack. The button is disabled when every available pack is already assigned.
  2. Choose a pack from the dropdown — only packs not yet assigned are offered.
  3. Click Assign. The pack's instruments become available to the workspace's accounts.

To unassign a pack, click the trash icon on its row and confirm. The pack itself is unchanged; only its availability to this workspace is removed.

Note

A workspace with no assigned pack has no tradeable instruments — pages that need an instrument roster will prompt you to assign an instrument pack first. Once assigned, you can tailor individual instruments for the workspace with instrument overrides.
